With local seafood being as fresh as can be, combined with traditional, hearty Welsh dishes, and a welcoming atmosphere, there’s no shortage of fabulous places to eat and drink.
Here’s our top five!
Norbar (Llanaber)
This popular bar and restaurant is close to the beautiful Barmouth Beach, and a place where you can sample some of the finest seafood as well as pub classics.
The mouth-watering fruits-de-mer is a sharing platter that gives you a taste of many seafoods, including dressed crab, lobster and king prawns, while meat lovers will love the rack of lamb, venison burgers or chicken la Romana. There’s also an impressive choice of vegetarian options.
What makes Norbar really special, is the open-air terrace that overlooks the sea. The sunsets from here are some of the best you can find in this part of the UK!
Perfect for an evening out with friends, or a romantic date, Norbar is a place to remember.

Firm favourites include slow-roasted shoulder of lamb shepherd’s pie, homemade lasagne and locally produced .57 burgers.
